Expanding My Business

Well, EugeneSlesarenko.com is certainly proving to be a fantastic foundation for my business. I am busier than ever before with new clients and projects. Lately I've been shooting a LOT more real estate photography which has proven to be somewhat of a challenge. Why you may ask? There is certainly a lot more editing involved, especially behind every great real estate photo. You can expect to not only strobe individual parts of the room / scene, but you can certainly expect to mask 15+ layers for a single photo. Crazy, right? It's been fascinating watching tutorials, and learning from the masters of the trade.

Other than real estate photography, weddings have been keeping me rather busy as well. Last 3 weeks have been action packed with weddings... including one on the west side of the state, and let me tell you, Vietnamese weddings have some GREAT food! Although I'm been keeping busy, it's unfortunate that I haven't been photographing much else -- not sure if that's a good thing or not, but my business has been thriving, and I am very thankful for that.

Today, I finally added a new lens to the lineup, this one is geared more towards what I'd like to start doing a lot more of: PORTRAITS! In the past, portraiture hasn't really given me the income that some of the other genres have given me, but I'm definitely looking to turn that around. I absolutely LOVE working with people, it's my passion and drive to create a portrait that displays someone's character, personality, beauty, and emotion. It's a moment in time that their family and friends can cherish for years to come. So without further adieu, please welcome the majestic Canon 135mm f2L! For those of you looking for headshots, family photos, engagement photos, and any other portraits, you'll get to see why I chose to add this lens to the lineup.
